Description
Castrol POWER1 Scooter 4T 5W-40 is an engine oil from the POWER1 line for four-stroke scooter engines. It is intended for machines with an automatic (CVT) transmission and a dry clutch, where the lubricant never reaches the clutch plates.
The oil is rated JASO MB, which denotes a friction-reducing oil, and API SN. No official motorcycle-maker approvals are listed for it.
Typical figures: 14.2 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 170, pour point -36 °C, flash point 214 °C.
It is not suitable for motorcycles whose wet clutch runs in the engine oil: they need an oil of a different class, designed for wet-clutch operation.
