Once upon a time, asking himself which oil to pour into his own engine, the author of everything written here eventually had to dig a lot deeper and get to grips with the substance of some of the processes going on inside an engine. It turned out things weren't so simple, including with the advertising and marketing strategies of many engine oil makers. As it turned out, they (the makers) very often cynically mislead potential customers in the fight for market share. Or, to put it more gently, they leave a lot unsaid.
