Description
77 Lubricants Special Racing Gear LS 80W-250 is a very viscous fully synthetic oil based on polyalphaolefins (PAO) for limited-slip differentials in racing and sports cars working under high torque and shock loads. The maker states that the oil has been tested in OS Giken racing differentials.
The oil is rated API GL-5 and meets MIL-L-2105D; the data sheet lists no car manufacturer approvals.
Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 54.4 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 191, pour point -45 °C.
The maker does not recommend it for transaxles, where the gearbox and final drive share one casing.
