API CD-II Class
In this section: 12 articles
Engine oils for use in high-output two-stroke diesel engines (obsolete class).
The class was introduced in 1985 for use in two-stroke diesel engines and is, essentially, an evolutionary development of the earlier API CD class. These oils were mainly intended for heavy, high-output diesel engines fitted mostly to agricultural equipment.
Engine oils of this class meet all the performance standards of the earlier CD class, and on top of that carry significantly higher requirements for highly effective protection of the engine against deposits and wear.
