Transport companies, many commercial firms and some car owners run a mixed fleet of vehicles that includes passenger cars, such as the Audi A5, minibuses, and light or heavy trucks. The engines of these vehicles differ in design, power and the type of fuel they consume. Buying engine oil for each individual model is fairly expensive. A sensible solution is to buy a "universal" oil suited to both petrol and diesel engines in passenger cars and trucks alike.
Well-known brands produce oils for mixed vehicle fleets. TNK, for instance, makes good synthetic and semi-synthetic oils in the Magnum line, designed for use in both diesel and petrol engines. Magnum Semisynthetic SAE 5W-30 API SL/CF is an all-season semi-synthetic engine oil suited to both domestic and foreign passenger cars. It ensures an easy engine start in cold weather, even in harsh conditions. The oil prevents engine contamination, reduces engine wear, and lowers fuel consumption. It is an excellent fit for use in the Lexus GS 300 and other Japanese cars.
The synthetic Magnum Synthetic SAE 5W-40 API SL/CF can also be used in the engines of domestic and foreign passenger cars. It shares the same properties as Magnum Semisynthetic SAE 5W-30, while also delivering fuel savings and engine protection in extreme outdoor conditions. The synthetic base stocks in this oil have detergent-like properties, which keep the friction surfaces of engine parts especially clean.
Engine oils suitable for use in all types of vehicles are offered under the ADDINOL brand. These oils are of excellent quality and can be used in very demanding operating conditions. One of ADDINOL's best oils is Premium Star MX 1048. It reduces fuel consumption, is economical, has excellent anti-friction properties, and cuts down wear, significantly extending the engine's service life as a result.
