An automatic transmission is a unit that makes driving a vehicle more convenient and adaptable. Otherwise, expensive repairs will be needed, including Volkswagen repairs. Specialists recommend changing the engine oil every 8,000 km, and the automatic transmission oil every 60,000 km.

The oil is changed either by draining or by the express method. In the first case, the car is placed on a lift. It's pumped until the system is fully freed of the used fluid. In the second case, vacuum suction is used through the functional opening of the dipstick tube. In both cases, it's advisable to use the same brand of oil that was in there before. Synthetic oil shouldn't be replaced with mineral oil, or the other way round.
