Description

Shell Spirax S3 G 80W-90 is a long-life mineral Spirax gear oil. It is intended for synchromesh manual gearboxes and moderately loaded axles in commercial vehicles, above all MAN vehicles and those with ZF units.

The oil is rated API GL-4 and holds the approvals MAN 341 Type E2, MAN 341 Type Z2 and ZF TE-ML 02B, ZF TE-ML 16A, ZF TE-ML 17A and ZF TE-ML 19A. The maker states an extended drain interval.

Typical figures: 15.3 mm²/s at 100 °C, 160.5 mm²/s at 40 °C, pour point -30 °C, flash point 215 °C, density 895 kg/m³.
