Description

Shell Spirax S5 ADE 75W-85 is a synthetic Spirax oil for the axles of Daimler Truck vehicles and Mercedes-Benz cars, formulated for fuel economy. It is also intended for the final drives of Daimler Truck electric powertrains.

The oil is rated API GL-5 and holds official DDC DFS 93K219.03, DTFR 10C100, DTFR 12B120 and MB 235.33 approvals; it meets SAE J2360 without a formal approval.

Typical figures: 11.5 mm²/s at 100 °C, 67 mm²/s at 40 °C, pour point -51 °C, flash point 188 °C, density 855 kg/m³.

Application

Axles in Daimler Truck vehicles and Mercedes-Benz cars that call for a DTFR 12B120 oil, and final drives in Daimler Truck electric powertrains to DTFR 10C100.
