There are only two reasons for engine oil consumption: in reality the oil either burns off in the cylinder block along with the fuel, or it simply leaks out onto the ground. If the problem is a leak, it's not hard to spot and fix. With burning it's a lot more complicated. As a first step, try filling with an engine oil of maximum viscosity and replacing the oil-control caps.
