A car long ago stopped being either a luxury or a plain means of getting around. It's become, on one hand, a dependable helper, and on the other, a way for its owner to express their individuality. The word "tuning" has long since become firmly rooted in the world and vocabulary of car owners.

Essentially, giving a car special traits and characteristics is one of the favourite pastimes of anyone truly in love with cars. But tuning parts aren't just an "adornment" for a car — many of them have real practical value.

Take something like bug deflectors, which help protect the car from dust and dirt, and so extend its service life. The same goes for car electronics. There have been cases where in-car electronics not only made time on the road more pleasant, but let the driver avoid unfortunate situations.

Big cities, for instance, are known for hours-long traffic jams. Naturally, that wears down and irritates both driver and passengers. And tired, unhappy passengers, in turn, also make the driver on edge. And behind the wheel, calm and composure matter most. After all, driving itself is a fairly tough psychological test. That's exactly why many people install an in-car TV, which lets everyone relax and unwind in a traffic jam, while also keeping the passengers occupied.

Which equipment is best to choose for a car? There's no single answer to that question. Some people firmly choose "native," original parts, believing that parts from other brands, even a car stereo, will strip the car of the traits that define it. Others, on the contrary, buy an in-car TV and other removable gear from brands that carry real weight specifically in the car-electronics market. It's hard to say whose opinion is more right here. In all likelihood, both sides have a point in their own way. What's more, numerous tests, both independent ones and those run by manufacturers, still haven't given a clear answer as to which car accessories are best. So the question of which car stereo to buy really comes down to the car owner's personal taste.
