Description

Eni Rotra MP 85W-140 is a high-viscosity gear oil from the Rotra line for hypoid differentials and heavily loaded gears in vehicles, agricultural machinery and earth-moving equipment. It is intended for units that operate under severe shock loads.

It meets API GL-5 and MIL-L-2105D, and holds official ZF TE-ML 05A, 12S, 16D and 21A approvals. It meets the requirements of Volvo 1273.10 and ZF TE-ML 07A, 08 and 16C without formal approval.

Typical figures: viscosity 359 mm²/s at 40 °C and 25.5 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 99, pour point -18 °C, flash point 205 °C, density 915 kg/m³ and low-temperature viscosity 69,000 mPa·s at -12 °C.

Application

Hypoid differentials and heavily loaded gears in road vehicles and in agricultural and earth-moving machinery that need a GL-5 oil of the 85W-140 grade.
