Description

Eni Rotra 85W-140 is a heavy-grade mineral gear oil from the Rotra line for moderately loaded gear trains without hypoid gearing. Its anti-wear additive does not corrode steel or copper.

The oil is rated API GL-3; it holds no official carmaker approvals.

Typical figures: viscosity 410 mm²/s at 40 °C and 28.2 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 98, pour point -15 °C, flash point 270 °C, density 905 kg/m³ and low-temperature viscosity 130,000 mPa·s at -12 °C.

Application

Transaxles without hypoid gears and other moderately loaded gear trains for which API GL-3 is specified and a heavier 85W-140 grade is wanted.
