Description

BP Vanellus Monograde 50 is a single-grade engine oil from the Vanellus line for diesel engines in commercial vehicles and machinery. BP also permits it in gearboxes, hydraulic circuits and other units for which an SAE 50 engine oil is specified.

It is classified to API CF; the data sheet lists no official vehicle manufacturer approvals.

Typical figures from the data sheet: kinematic viscosity 16.9 mm²/s at 100 °C and 182 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 98, pour point -24 °C, flash point 220 °C, base number 10.4 mg KOH/g, sulphated ash 1.3 %.

Application

Diesel engines that call for a monograde SAE 50 oil to API CF; also gearboxes, hydraulic circuits and other units where an SAE 50 engine oil is specified.
