Description

BP Vanellus Multi-Fleet ECO 15W-40 is a low-ash (Low SAPS) engine oil from the Vanellus line for heavily loaded diesels of American, European and Japanese design, above all those fitted with particulate filters.

It is rated ACEA E9 and E11, API CK-4, CJ-4, CI-4 Plus, CI-4 and CH-4, and JASO DH-2, and holds official approvals Volvo VDS-4.5, Mack EOS-4.5, Cummins CES 20081, CAT ECF-3, DDC Powerguard 93K218 and DTFR 15C100.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 15 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 138, base number 9.5 mg KOH/g, sulphated ash 1 %, pour point -33 °C.

The maker allows extended drain intervals only under an oil analysis programme.

Application

Heavily loaded four-stroke diesels of American, European and Japanese design, especially those with particulate filters (DPF/DPD) or where the engine maker recommends a low-ash oil.
