Description

Castrol TRANSMAX Axle Long Life 75W-90 is a fully synthetic oil from the TRANSMAX line for drive axles and final drives with conventional, non-limited-slip differentials. It is used in both cars and trucks.

The oil is rated API GL-5. It holds official approvals from BMW for rear axles without a limited-slip differential, and MAN 342 Type S1, ZF TE-ML 05A, ZF TE-ML 12B, ZF TE-ML 17B, ZF TE-ML 19C and ZF TE-ML 21A.

Typical figures: 15.4 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 161, pour point -57 °C, flash point 224 °C.

The maker does not list this oil for limited-slip differentials.

Application

Final drives and axles with conventional (open) differentials in cars and trucks, including BMW rear axles without a limited-slip differential.
