Description

Castrol TRANSMAX Axle EPX 80W-90 is a hypoid gear oil from the TRANSMAX line for differentials and final drives. It is used in cars, light commercial vehicles and heavy vehicles where the manufacturer specifies an 80W-90 viscosity.

The oil is rated API GL-5 and holds official MAN 342 Type M2, ZF TE-ML 05A, ZF TE-ML 12E, ZF TE-ML 16B, ZF TE-ML 17B, ZF TE-ML 19B and ZF TE-ML 21A approvals.

Typical figures: 14 mm²/s at 100 °C and 135 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 101, pour point -34 °C, flash point 222 °C, density 896 kg/m³.
