Description
Elf Elfmatic CVT is a fluid from the Elfmatic line for continuously variable transmissions with a belt or chain drive. Its friction level is matched to belt-to-pulley contact, with attention to anti-shudder durability during engagement.
The fluid holds official Renault CVT-CK, Renault CVT-DK and Renault CVT-FK approvals for the brand's CVT gearboxes.
It keeps its viscosity under shear and stays fluid in the cold. Typical data-sheet figures: 6.2 mm²/s at 100 °C and 26 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 204, pour point -48 °C. Available in 1 and 5 litre packs.
According to the catalogue, it may be mixed with Nissan CVTF NS-2; no other fluid should be used in Renault CVTs.
Application
Belt- and chain-type continuously variable transmissions, including JATCO steel-belt units in Renault cars, as well as CVTs in Asian, European and North American vehicles.
