Description

Motul ATF III is a synthetic fluid based on Technosynthese for automatic gearboxes, torque converters, power steering and hydraulic systems. The maker says it flows better when cold than ordinary Dexron II fluids.

With no official approvals, the fluid meets the requirements of GM Dexron II, GM Dexron II-D, GM Dexron II-E, GM Dexron III-G, GM Dexron III-H, Ford MERCON, Chrysler ATF+, Chrysler ATF+2, Chrysler ATF+3, Toyota ATF D-II, Mitsubishi SP-III, Nissan Matic D, Aisin Warner JWS 3314 and others.

Typical figures: viscosity 7.4 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 183, pour point -57 °C. Available in 1 to 208 litres.

It is not intended for newer-generation fluid specifications, CVTs or dual-clutch gearboxes.

Application

Automatic gearboxes, torque converters, power steering and hydraulic systems in American, Asian and European cars specified for a Dexron fluid up to III, or Mercon.
