Description

Shell Helix Extra Professional AP-L 5W-30 is a fully synthetic low-SAPS oil from the Helix Extra line for Peugeot and Citroen diesel engines fitted with a particulate filter, up to the Euro 5 emissions standard.

The oil is rated API SN and ACEA C2. It holds no official car-maker approvals but meets the requirements of PSA B71 2290 and Iveco 18-1811 SC1.

Typical figures: 10.2 mm²/s at 100 °C, 59.6 mm²/s at 40 °C, pour point -48 °C, flash point 233 °C.

For Euro 6 diesels with SCR, the maker recommends a different oil from the Helix Ultra Professional AP-L range.

Application

Peugeot and Citroen diesel engines with a particulate filter, up to Euro 5, where the manufacturer specifies an oil to PSA B71 2290.
