Description

Shell Helix Extra ECT Multi 5W-30 is a fully synthetic low-SAPS oil from the Helix Extra line. A single oil covers both the VW extended-drain requirements and the Mercedes-Benz C3 requirements for petrol engines, diesels with a particulate filter and gas-fuelled engines.

It is rated API SP and ACEA C3 and holds official VW 504.00, VW 507.00, MB 229.31 and MB 229.51 approvals. It meets the requirements of BMW Longlife-04 and Porsche C30 without formal approval.

Typical figures: 12.11 mm²/s at 100 °C, 69 mm²/s at 40 °C, pour point -45 °C, flash point 238 °C.

Application

Cars with petrol, diesel (with a particulate filter) and gas-fuelled engines that call for VW extended-drain or Mercedes-Benz C3 requirements.
