Description

Liqui Moly Special Tec B FE 5W-30 is a fully synthetic engine oil designed primarily for BMW petrol engines without a particulate filter.

It carries ACEA A5 and B5 and API SL. The data sheet lists no car-maker approvals: the manufacturer states that the oil meets BMW Longlife-01 FE, without official BMW approval.

Typical figures: viscosity 10.4 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 165, HTHS at least 3.0 mPa·s, base number 11 mg KOH/g. Sulphated ash is between 1.0 and 1.6 %, so the oil is not suitable for cars with a particulate filter. Pack sizes from 1 to 205 litres.

Application

BMW petrol engines without a particulate filter and certain BMW M models for which the car maker requires a BMW Longlife-01 FE oil.
