Description
Shell Spirax S4 CX 10W is a Spirax oil of viscosity grade SAE 10W for off-road machinery transmissions. It is intended for powershift and manual transmissions, wet brakes and hydraulic systems in heavy construction and mining machinery, including Caterpillar and Komatsu, as well as for Eaton, ZF, Dana and Rockwell transmissions.
The oil holds the approvals CAT TO-4 and ZF TE-ML 03C. It meets the requirements of Allison C-4 without formal approval.
It is a shear-stable monograde with no viscosity modifiers. Typical figures: 6 mm²/s at 100 °C, 36 mm²/s at 40 °C, pour point -36 °C, flash point 200 °C, density 884 kg/m³.
