Description

Shell Spirax S5 ATE 75W-90 is a synthetic Spirax gear oil for heavily loaded passenger-car drivetrains. It is intended mainly for sports-car transaxles, where the hypoid drive and the gearbox run on the same oil, and also for axles and for gearboxes with or without synchromesh.

The oil is rated API GL-4, GL-5 and MT-1 and holds the official MB 236.26 approval.

Typical figures: 14.9 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 194, pour point -45 °C, dynamic viscosity 35 000 mPa·s at -40 °C.

Application

Heavily loaded car drivetrains, above all sports-car transaxles in which the hypoid drive and gearbox share one oil; also axles and gearboxes.
