Today Castrol is BMW's official engine oil supplier. For every engine bearing this marque, Castrol has been the factory-fill oil since 1999. BMW also recommends using Castrol engine oils throughout warranty and post-warranty servicing of its engines.

Castrol also holds global cooperation agreements covering engine engineering and the development of exclusive lubricant grades with the Volkswagen Audi Group (VAG) (since 2004), Ford (a partnership dating back to 1913), and the Premier Automotive Group (Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover) (a partnership agreement since 2002).
