Engine oils for petrol engines built from 1989 onward.

Intended for use in the petrol engines of passenger cars, minibuses and light trucks. Engine oils of this class offer better protection against deposits, oil oxidation and engine wear than earlier classes, and also contain additives that protect internal engine parts against rust and corrosion. SG-class engine oils meet the requirements for API CC diesel engine oils and can be used wherever the SF, SE, SF/CC or SE/CC classes are recommended.
