Description
Elf Evolution 900 5W-50 is a synthetic engine oil with a wide all-season viscosity grade for petrol and diesel engines in cars and light vans, turbocharged or not. It is designed for very hot or very cold climates.
The oil carries only API SG and API CD; its specification lists no ACEA classes and no carmaker approvals.
Typical data-sheet figures: 18.2 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 177, pour point -40 °C, base number 8.5 mg KOH/g. Available in 1, 4 and 208 litre packs.
It is better suited to engines of older design than to modern units that require a low-ash oil.
Application
Petrol and diesel engines, turbocharged or not, in cars and light vans operating at very high or very low temperatures.
