Description

Eni i-Sigma performance CI HBN 20W-50 is a mineral engine oil from the i-Sigma performance line in the thick 20W-50 viscosity grade. It has a high base number and is intended for turbodiesels in commercial vehicles under severe conditions, as well as for diesel cars.

The oil is rated ACEA E7, E5, E3 and B3 and API CI-4 and SL. The list contains no official approvals: the maker states that it meets the requirements of MB 228.3 and Volvo VDS-3.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 18.3 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 124, base number 12.4 mg KOH/g, pour point -27 °C, flash point 235 °C.

Application

Turbocharged diesel engines in severe service that need a high base number; also diesel cars.
