Description

Eni Rotra HY DB Synth 75W-90 is a fully synthetic gear oil from the Rotra line for the manual gearboxes of Mercedes-Benz lorries and special vehicles, light commercial vehicles and cars. Its formulation aims at fuel economy and keeps gear changes smooth in cold climates.

The oil is rated API GL-4. It holds no official approvals; according to its maker, it meets the requirements of Daimler DTFR 13B110 and ZF TE-ML 08.

Typical figures: viscosity 95 mm²/s at 40 °C and 16 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 160, pour point -45 °C, flash point 230 °C, density 850 kg/m³ and low-temperature viscosity 120,000 mPa·s at -40 °C.

Application

Manual gearboxes of Mercedes-Benz lorries and special vehicles (Actros, Unimog, MB-Trac) and of light commercial vehicles and cars, on and off road, plus any gearbox calling for a 75W-90 API GL-4 oil.
