Description
Eni Rotra HY DB 80W is a gear oil from the Rotra line for manual gearboxes, differentials, final drives and power take-offs, including those of farm and earth-moving machinery. Its formulation is balanced to keep synchronisers working consistently in stop-and-go use.
The oil is rated API GL-4. It holds no official approvals; according to its maker, it meets the requirements of Daimler DTFR 13B100, ZF TE-ML 02B and ZF TE-ML 17A.
Typical figures: viscosity 102 mm²/s at 40 °C and 9.7 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 100, pour point -30 °C, flash point 210 °C, density 900 kg/m³ and low-temperature viscosity 120,000 mPa·s at -26 °C.
