Description

Castrol MAGNATEC 0W-20 D is a low-viscosity oil in the MAGNATEC range, developed for the requirements of Ford diesel engines. The 0W-20 grade is aimed at saving fuel.

The only specification the manufacturer gives is Ford WSS-M2C952-A1, and it is marked as “meets the requirements”: no official approval from the vehicle maker is claimed. The data sheet lists no general quality categories.

Typical figures: 7.85 mm²/s at 100 °C, 38 mm²/s at 40 °C, pour point -45 °C. The data sheet gives sulphated ash of about 0.8 %, which is a reduced ash level.

Application

Ford diesel engines, and related engines, for which the owner’s manual specifies an oil to Ford WSS-M2C952-A1.
