Description
Castrol MAGNATEC Hybrid 0W-16 is an ultra-low-viscosity oil in the MAGNATEC range for petrol and hybrid cars. It is designed for the frequent engine stop-start cycles typical of hybrids.
It is rated API SP and ILSAC GF-6B, the latter being a separate category for the 0W-16 grade. The manufacturer lists no vehicle-maker approvals for it.
Typical figures: 7.3 mm²/s at 100 °C, 38 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 163, sulphated ash 0.8 %, pour point -48 °C.
It should be used only in engines for which the vehicle manufacturer specifies a 0W-16 grade.
