Description

Castrol MAGNATEC 5W-20 E is a low-viscosity oil in the MAGNATEC range for petrol engines, above all Ford’s turbocharged EcoBoost units. The 5W-20 grade is aimed at saving fuel.

It is rated ACEA C5, API SN and ILSAC GF-5. According to the manufacturer, it meets the requirements of Ford WSS-M2C948-B without formal approval from the vehicle maker.

Typical figures: 8.1 mm²/s at 100 °C, 44 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 162, sulphated ash 0.8 %, pour point -48 °C.

It should be used only where the vehicle manufacturer specifies a 5W-20 grade.

Application

Petrol engines, mainly Ford EcoBoost units, that call for Ford WSS-M2C948-B or a 5W-20 oil to ACEA C5 or ILSAC GF-5.
