Description

Castrol TRANSMAX Dual is a fully synthetic fluid for dual-clutch transmissions with wet clutches. It is the factory fill in Audi and VW units where TL 52529 is specified.

Its single official approval is VW TL 52529. Castrol also states that it meets the requirements of VW TL 52182 and of six-speed VW/SEAT/Skoda DSG gearboxes, of Getrag units to Ford WSS-M2C936-A, PSA 9734 52 and Volvo DCT, and of Chrysler DCT and Mitsubishi Dia Queen SSTF-1.

Typical figures: 7.2 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 166, pour point -72 °C.

Application

Wet dual-clutch gearboxes: Audi and VW units where TL 52529 is specified, six-speed VW Group DSG units, and Getrag-based gearboxes in Ford, PSA, Volvo, Mitsubishi and European Chrysler models.
