Castrol TRANSMAX Manual Z Long Life 75W-80 is a fully synthetic gear oil from the TRANSMAX line for trucks and commercial vehicles. It is designed for ZF manual and automated manual gearboxes on extended drain intervals, which under the ZF schedule can reach 540,000 km.

The oil is rated API GL-4 and holds official ZF TE-ML 01E, ZF TE-ML 02E, ZF TE-ML 16P, MAN 341 Type Z5 and MB 235.41 approvals.

Typical figures: 9 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 147, pour point -57 °C, flash point 250 °C.

According to the maker, the oil is compatible with carbon, brass and molybdenum-coated synchronisers.
