Description
Elf Moto Gear Oil 10W-40 is a semi-synthetic gearbox oil for two-stroke motorcycles with a separate gearbox. It can also be used where the motorcycle manufacturer specifies an engine oil for the gearbox, and it is designed for hard riding in any season.
The oil is rated API SJ; the data sheet cites no motorcycle manufacturer approvals. According to the data sheet, it contains no friction modifier, so the wet clutch does not slip. Gear changes stay precise and smooth even in cold weather, and the oil resists shear and oxidation.
Typical figures: 14.6 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 156, pour point -33 °C. Available in 1 litre packs.

Separate gearboxes of two-stroke motorcycles, and gearboxes for which the manufacturer specifies an engine oil; hard riding in any season.
