Description

Shell Advance Ultra 10W-40 (SN/MA2) is the fully synthetic top-tier oil of the Advance line for powerful four-stroke motorcycle engines, racing engines included. The maker produces its base oil from natural gas using Shell PurePlus technology (GTL).

The oil is rated API SN and JASO MA2, so it suits motorcycles in which the engine, gearbox and wet clutch all run on the same oil. The data sheet lists no official approvals from motorcycle manufacturers.

Typical figures: 14.2 mm²/s at 100 °C, 90.2 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 163, pour point -33 °C, flash point 230 °C, density 858 kg/m³.

Application

Powerful four-stroke motorcycle engines, race-prepared ones included, with a shared gearbox and a wet clutch.
