Description

Motul NGEN HYBRID 0W-30 is a synthetic engine oil from the NGEN HYBRID line for petrol hybrid (HEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) cars. It is designed for frequent engine stops and starts and short warm-up cycles; according to the maker, part of its base oil is re-refined.

The oil is rated API SQ RC and ILSAC GF-7A; the data sheet lists no car-maker approvals.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 10.7 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 171, HTHS 3.1 mPa·s, pour point -51 °C, sulphated ash 0.72 %. Available in 1 and 4 litres.

It is intended only for petrol hybrids whose engines accept an HTHS viscosity of 2.9 mPa·s or more.

Application

Petrol hybrids (HEV) and plug-in hybrids (PHEV) whose engines are designed for low-friction oils with an HTHS viscosity of at least 2.9 mPa·s.
