Description

BP Energear 90 is a monograde SAE 90 gear oil from the Energear line for gearboxes that run without severe frost.

It is rated API GL-4 and carries no official carmaker approvals.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 16.9 mm²/s at 100 °C and 187 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 96, flash point 282 °C.

Its pour point is only -6 °C, so this oil is not suited to cold climates.

Application

Gearboxes that call for an API GL-4 oil, in conditions where cold-weather operation is not the deciding factor.
