Description

Motul 90 PA is a mineral gear oil from the Gear line, a monograde SAE 90 with extreme-pressure additives. It is intended for hypoid differentials, including limited-slip units, in racing cars, four-wheel-drive and passenger cars, and forestry and construction machinery.

The oil meets API GL-4 and GL-5 and the military specification MIL-L-2105D; no car-maker approvals are listed.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 14.5 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 102, pour point -24 °C, flash point 212 °C. Available in 1 and 208 litres.

For BMW rear axles with a limited-slip differential, Motul recommends a different, synthetic gear oil.

Application

Hypoid differentials, conventional or limited-slip, in racing cars, four-wheel-drive and passenger cars, and in forestry and construction machinery.
