Description
Liqui Moly Molygen New Generation 5W-50 is a higher-viscosity engine oil for petrol car engines. It contains the Molygen additive, which the manufacturer says reduces friction.
It is classified API SN; the manufacturer lists neither car-maker approvals nor claims of compliance with any individual specification.
Typical data-sheet figures: viscosity 19 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 185, HTHS at least 3.7 mPa·s, pour point -39 °C, sulphated ash 1.0-1.6 %. The oil is supplied only in 1-litre cans.
Application
Petrol engines in Asian and American cars, including multi-valve and turbocharged units, where a 5W-50 oil to API SN is permitted.
