Description
Mobil Delvac Legend 15W-40 CNG/LNG is a mid-ash oil for truck and bus gas engines running lean-burn with spark ignition on compressed (CNG) or liquefied (LNG) natural gas. It also suits dual-fuel engines that start on diesel and then run with a diesel pilot charge of about 15 %.
On ExxonMobil's recommendation, the oil meets the requirements of Cummins CES 20074 without formal approval.
Typical figures: 14.6 mm²/s at 100 °C, pour point -27 °C, sulphated ash 0.5 %, base number 5.6 mg KOH/g. This is a dedicated gas engine oil, not a general-purpose diesel oil.
Application
Trucks and buses with lean-burn spark-ignition gas engines on compressed or liquefied natural gas, and dual-fuel engines using a diesel pilot charge of about 15 %.
