Description
Shell Rimula R3 Turbo 15W-40 is a Rimula engine oil for the diesel engines of long-haul trucks and construction, mining and agricultural machinery, including stop-start duty.
The oil is rated API CH-4 and ACEA E2 and holds official CAT ECF-1a, Cummins CES 20071 and 20076, DTFR 15B110, Mack EO-M and Mack EO-M Plus, MAN 271 and Volvo VDS approvals.
Typical figures: 14.3 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 139, pour point -36 °C, flash point 230 °C. For modern low-emission engines Shell points to Rimula R4 or R5.
Application
Long-haul trucks and construction, mining and farm machinery with Caterpillar, Cummins, four-stroke Detroit Diesel, MTU and Komatsu engines; biodiesel is allowed at the maker’s drain intervals.
