Description

Mobilube HD-N 80W-140 is a multigrade gear oil with a wide viscosity range for heavily loaded manual gearboxes, axles and final drives. It is used in trucks, with the data sheet naming Scania, as well as in buses, vans, cars and off-highway machinery. The oil protects against rust even when water gets into it.

It is rated API GL-5; the data sheet lists no official approvals.

Typical figures: viscosity 25.3 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 125, pour point -30 °C.

It is not intended for units where the manufacturer specifies a lower API gear-oil category, engine oil or ATF; limited-slip axles may need a friction modifier.

Application

Heavily loaded manual gearboxes, axles and final drives in trucks (Scania among them), buses, vans, cars and off-highway machinery.
