Description

Motul 8100 ECO-NERGY 0W-30 is a full-SAPS, fully synthetic fuel-saving engine oil from the 8100 range. It is designed for petrol and diesel engines that need an ACEA A5/B5 oil, and the maker also recommends it for Honda, Volvo and Land Rover where that category is permitted.

It is rated ACEA A5/B5 and API SP. Official approvals cover Volvo VCC 95200377 and BMW Longlife-01 FE; it meets the requirements of MB 229.6 without formal approval.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 10.1 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 179, HTHS viscosity 3.1 mPa·s, pour point -45 °C, sulphated ash 1.04 %. Available in 1, 5, 20 and 60 litre packs.

It is unsuitable where a low-SAPS oil is specified.

Application

Petrol and diesel engines for which the manufacturer specifies ACEA A5/B5, above all Volvo and BMW models requiring Longlife-01 FE, and Mercedes-Benz where MB 229.6 is called for.
