Description

Castrol EDGE 0W-30 A5/B5 is a fully synthetic oil in the EDGE range with reduced high-temperature, high-shear (HTHS) viscosity. Oils in the A1/B1 and A5/B5 categories are aimed at saving fuel in engines designed specifically for them.

It is rated ACEA A1/B1 and A5/B5 and API SL and CF, and holds official Volvo VCC 95200377 approval.

Typical figures: 9.9 mm²/s at 100 °C, 52 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 180, sulphated ash 1.1 %, pour point -45 °C.

It is not intended for engines that require an oil with conventional HTHS viscosity or a low-ash oil.

Application

Car engines designed for ACEA A1/B1 or A5/B5 oils, chiefly Volvo models that specify 95200377.
