Description

Eni i-Sint professional MS 5W-30 is a synthetic engine oil from the i-Sint professional line with reduced sulphated ash, phosphorus and sulphur (Mid SAPS). It is intended for modern cars and light commercial vehicles with exhaust after-treatment systems.

The oil is rated ACEA C2, ACEA C3 and API SN Plus. It holds no official approvals, but the maker states that it meets the requirements of MB 229.51, MB 229.52 and VW 505.00.

Typical figures: kinematic viscosity 12 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 175, pour point -42 °C, flash point 230 °C, base number 9.2 mg KOH/g.

The API SN Plus rating stands for protection against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI), which matters in turbocharged direct-injection petrol engines.
