Description
Eni Rotra GL 85W-140 is a heavy-grade gear oil from the Rotra line for hypoid axles under heavy load and for the gearboxes, steering boxes, reduction units and power take-offs of heavy machinery. Its extreme-pressure film withstands shock loads.
The oil is rated API GL-5 and meets MIL-L-2105D; it holds no official carmaker approvals.
Typical figures: viscosity 320 mm²/s at 40 °C and 28.2 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 100, pour point -15 °C, flash point 215 °C, density 910 kg/m³ and low-temperature viscosity 120,000 mPa·s at -12 °C.
Application
Heavily loaded hypoid axles, plus conventional gearboxes, steering boxes, reduction units and power take-offs of heavy machinery such as farm and earth-moving equipment.
