Description
Eni Rotra HY 80W-90 is an API GL-4 gear oil from the Rotra line for manual gearboxes and differentials, including those fitted to tractors and earth-moving machines. Its frictional properties are balanced so that the synchromesh engages each gear without slipping.
The oil carries no official manufacturer approvals. According to its maker, it meets the requirements of ZF TE-ML 02A, ZF TE-ML 16A, ZF TE-ML 17A and ZF TE-ML 19A, without formal ZF approval.
Typical figures: viscosity 133.6 mm²/s at 40 °C and 14.1 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 103, pour point -30 °C, flash point 210 °C, density 895 kg/m³ and low-temperature viscosity 120,000 mPa·s at -26 °C.
Application
Manual gearboxes and differentials, including transaxles, final drives and power take-offs on agricultural and earth-moving machinery, where API GL-4 is required.
