Description
BP Vanellus Monograde 40 is a single-grade engine oil from the Vanellus line for diesel engines in commercial vehicles and machinery. BP also allows it in gearboxes and hydraulic circuits wherever an SAE 40 engine oil is specified for them.
It is classified to API CF; the data sheet lists no official vehicle manufacturer approvals.
Typical figures from the data sheet: kinematic viscosity 13.5 mm²/s at 100 °C and 129 mm²/s at 40 °C, viscosity index 99, pour point -30 °C, flash point 218 °C, base number 9.4 mg KOH/g, sulphated ash 1.15 %.
