Description

Mobil Delvac 1640 (SAE 40) is a monograde oil for the diesels of trucks, construction, quarrying and agricultural equipment and mixed fleets. The data sheet also mentions Wartsila approval for four-stroke medium-speed engines running on distillate fuel or in dual-fuel mode.

The oil holds official MTU Oil Category 2 and ZF TE-ML 04B approvals. ExxonMobil recommends it where ACEA E2, API CF or API SF is specified; it meets the requirements of MAN 270 without formal approval.

Typical figures: 14.1 mm²/s at 100 °C, viscosity index 112, pour point -21 °C, base number 12 mg KOH/g, sulphated ash 1.4 %.

Application

Diesels in trucks, construction, quarrying and agricultural equipment and mixed fleets where a monograde oil is specified; also four-stroke medium-speed Wartsila engines on distillate fuel or in dual-fuel mode.
